Any Suggestions?

Macy’s moved the NYC fireworks display over to the hudson river between 23rd and 56th. I’d love to stake out a big awesome blanket compound like last year, but i can’t think of any appropriate space. I feel like even Dewitt Clinton park will be obstructed view. There’s Pier 84… and of course the west side highway, but that’s all concrete. I’d go to new jersey (stooopid jersey) if i knew a good spot to post up at, but I’m at a loss.

I want a grassy place that will be pleasant to hang out for several hours before the fireworks start that will be right up under the action.

UPDATE: forgot to mention, FryingPan, Hudson terrace rooftop, etc… are all closed for fancypants mega-bucks $100+ ticketed entry things that night. I can’t say I blame them.

Any suggestions, internet?
