I was totally planning on heading to one of these new jersey waterfront parks.
Not any more! From the Times:
In New Jersey, spectators are expected to squeeze into a patchwork of public parks, private homes, rooftops, street corners, piers, roadways and businesses, posing a daunting logistical problem for the police and fire officials responsible for keeping them safe.
At the Stevens Institute of Technology, which is on the Hoboken waterfront, all classrooms and offices will be closed and no more than 1,000 people, limited to faculty, students and their guests, will be permitted on campus.
In Weehawken, officials will close parks and a stadium near the river at 4 p.m. on Saturday to prevent any damage. Another Weehawken waterfront park, Lincoln Harbor, will remain open, but only to those who can prove they live in Weehawken.
