Obama+Bloomberg

So it’s looking more and more like Obama or Billary versus John McCain, with Mike Bloomberg and Kevin Sheekey making power plays up in the wings.

No matter what, It’s going to be quite an election season.

Here’s what I’d like to see: Obama/Bloomberg. Alternately, if the “Inevitably Hillary” story plays out. I would get behind a third party pairing of Bloomberg/Obama.

I think a nod to Bloomberg for VP would bring a lot to the Obama campaign. He adds major administrative experience, both in the private sector and in urban government.  He’s done a great job as the mayor of New York City. That said, I feel like Barack Obama  is exactly the kind of leader America needs, in spite of his comparative youth and more limited experience. I would hate to see him go back to the Senate in defeat.

Imagine the alternative: a three-way race between Bllary, Bloomberg, and McCain could be disastrous. It’s hard to tell who Bloomberg would draw more votes from. For me, it would be a hard choice between Hillary and Bloomberg. For other others, it would be a hard choice between Bloomberg and McCain. If Bloomberg could win, it would be a truly wonderful victory over bullshit bipartisan politics- and he would be UNSTOPPABLE with Obama as his VP Candidate. But without an ace in the hole, a Bloomberg campaign could just as easily backfire and see a 72 year old McCain in the Whitehouse- Who knows who he would choose as a VP Candidate. I don’t think America is ready for a McCain Presidency.

Hillary wouldn’t be so bad. But Bush41/Clinton42/Bush43/Clinton44 just doesn’t feel right, even though I like her, and Bill- but I’m feeling my man Obama- he’s right.  It’s time for a change.

I hope Mayor Mike and Barry  are on the same page… Maybe that that’s what they were having breakfast about?
